Shay, the receptionist is great. Very nice, very helpful. Dr. Bell is also amazing. Of course knowledgeable but doesn’t down play A THING when it comes to him health. First time here & glad I am their new patient

Excellent!Clean office, the staff are very friendly and professional. Dr. Bell is awesome, she explains everything as she is examining me and very thorough. I definitely would recommend.

I used to love this place but it has lost its ways. I guess it has gotten too busy to take care of it's patients. I've been waiting for over a year to get my front tooth finished. It's ridiculous that I can't get a call back about my cap and that when I called my insurance company they have told me that they never sent in for it. In addition my insurance company and I both have reached out they gave the correct information to the office where to send the request and they still never sent it. I've been calling for months still no answer or follow up.They need to stop overbooking patients, and over working the girls at the front desk because you don't have enough staff or seating for what you are doing and at this point I don't think I will ever use them again

I definitely won't be returning here, don't get me wrong! The beautiful young Ladies working as Dental Assistants and Receptionist are extremely polite clean caring and 100 percent professional to say the least but that highly offensive odor that emanated from the Dentist mouth while in the process of performing a filling procedure on me especially while in such close proximity was exactly the reason I hopped off the operating chair and ⚡ bolted the Hell up outta there without even looking back. Please! Do your Clients a huge favor Doc, try gargling with Listerine mouthwash before and after brushing and flossing.

Not having a good experience will Update Later (check back) to see if things improve but I doubt it, might make a TikTok and definitely contacting my insurance. UPDATE: I called my insurance to confirm and I was told I was being given misinformation my Greater Essex said they were never able to reach my insurance company and had to wait on hold for hours. My insurance checked their records & said they Greater Essex called & confirmed my benefits & my benefits were clearly outlined ppl I am so confused but funny enough the insurance agent they talked to is the same one I talked to lol what are the chances of that. On that note I requested a referral via email and text without a response and have called without a response. I’m not sure how to proceed but I am not happy and I will be figuring it out. I’m just upset it’s being made difficult for me to use my full benefits.

I do not recommend this place to anyone, I’ve had a few dental procedures done by this elderly looking female Dentist of African descent and on each occasion I kept trying desperately to hold my breath due to extremely bad unbearable and awful odors coming from her mouth so much that the last time Monday July 29th, 2024 her bad breath was to the point where I had no other choice but to immediately get up off the operating chair and exit that place in a hurry. I reasoned to myself, how in God’s name is she supposed to perform oral procedures on me when at the same time totally neglects her own oral hygiene coming to work with such offensive breath that’s no different from the smell of a rotting corpse? Listen! I only went back there because the filling she did on me roughly three weeks prior had fallen out. I’m not asking for her resignation, just brush your teeth Lady, and please!!! Use lots of Listerine mouthwash or better yet, go get yourself a dental checkup to combat those neglected cavities in your mouth “STAT” meaning “PRONTO” as an immediately. One thing’s for sure though, it’ll be a 🥶 cold day in 🔥 Hell before I’m seen revisiting Greater Essex Dental in downtown Newark, on the other hand! The Receptionist and Dental Assistant workers are beyond polite and professional with proper etiquette and overall hygiene.

I had to wait to a little while before posting a review because things always seem to change.. not here.. the energy is always the same.. good. Respectful, pleasant ladies at the front desk and doctor.. she’s great! I’ve had bad dentist experiences so I know not good people/dentists. The dentist here is amazing I would honestly recommend her to everyone. For you guys that are scared to go because of bad experiences. This is the place for you. You are in good hands.

Going to the dental board because for some reason Dr Bell won't refund me my money this is why black owned business fail I've been asking for a refund for over a month she ducking me like it's a million dollars I call they lie just give me my money and I will go away proudly if this is not rectified in a timely manner I will take you to court and contact the dental board you should be ashamed to have all these fake reviews from well paid crack heads if you reading this just give me cash I know I said put it back on rhe card i used but I want cash now

Love the staff. Good location. The x-ray is sweet because you stand and the panoramic thing zips around like you the Ring video! The only challenge is parking.

I have been coming the see Dr. Bell for about two months now. First time I had a really bad cavity in my front tooth amongst many other problems. She is the best dentist not only because she talks you through the whole process but I actually fell asleep during the root canal. I am super happy with my results so far and will continue to use Greater Essex dental. There is not another dentist that you should go to. The staff is very friendly and they don't judge you or talk down to you because of your dental problems. Other places have been rude or made me feel embarrassed but Dr. Bell and her team are definitely the best support team for your dental health.

From the welcoming waiting room with the massage chairs to the professional and courteous staff, this place is a godsend. The oral surgeon was considerate, efficient and completed my procedure so quickly that I was surprised that the visit was over so quickly. Thank you Greater Essex for being there in a time of need, kudos!

The staff is very kind, hard working and works hard for most client. They are like a strong family. They do the best work. I lost my teeth in 2013 and they fixed them. I feel good .
